About This Project

When Middle Tennessee State University’s Housing and Residential Life Department began upgrading its freshman dorms, it was important to partner with a contractor that could help the department achieve its mission of providing quality living accommodations for the student body. CHC Mechanical’s team came to the table with a proven track record for delivering economical and efficient heating and cooling solutions for multi-person living units like residence halls.

Each of these multistory buildings required a complete renovation of the mechanical systems. This included installing new room fan coil units, building outside air handling units, and putting in variable air volume systems for common zone areas. All of the fan coils are served by a new four-pipe hydronic piping system connected to new pumps and controlled by variable-frequency drives. Our team also replaced all of the plumbing and fixtures for each of the buildings’ individual rooms and common areas.
